We are a playful and relationally driven brand that balances the desire to work hard but play harder. Unbothered by the expectations of the event industry, our voice is cheerful, witty, compassionate, and kind. We’re that friend that will always dig deeper to find out what you want instead of what you think is expected of you and we honor our client's desires by working hard to make them a reality. There’s no doubt we’re badass, consistently blowing our clients away with our organization and timeliness, but not at the expense of forming a relationship with them. We’re the perfect mix of planned and spontaneous. Our approachable attitudes makes us easy to connect with and our clients never doubt that we’re always standing ready to celebrate whatever event they have in mind.
What started as friends in college has turned into a successful partnership. With Drew’s brains and Kelsie’s experience + knowledge of the industry, The Groovy Event Co. was created over drinks at the Tiniest Bar in ATX. Kelsie shared her ideas with Drew and immediately he know he had to be a part of it. Together they are excited to plan pour and party with Austin’s event scene.

My name is Kelsie
In 2020 Kelsie founded The Groovy Wedding Co., a wedding planning company serving wildly in-love couples with out of the box ideas. She's had an eye for details and an appreciation for a well-curated event for as long as she can remember. Whether it’s professional event planning, curating concerts, or helping friends and family come up with the best birthday party ideas possible, she’s always enjoyed partnering with people to make their visions come to life. Kelsie loves working with clients that have big dreams and even bigger visions for what their weddings or events can look like.
When she's not party planning she spends her time traveling, listening to live music and being outdoors.

My name is Drew
Drew has a passion for businesses, not only is he the co-founder of The Groovy Event Co. but he has founded several other small businesses. He is the brains behind the TGEC, he has his hands in all things finance. If it's dealing with numbers then Drew's involved!!
Aside from his various business ventures, Drew enjoys following a myriad of sports, spending time with friends, and looking after Fred, his dog and best friend. If you work with us, you’re bound to meet his famous pup!!
